WHAT IS A FAMILY MEETING? - and why is it so important Wednesdays, September 9th and 23rd 8:15 am – 9:45 am via Zoom
Our speaker for September is Miri Upton, Financial Adviser at Synergia Financial Group, LLC*. Miri is a dedicated professional who works with individuals, families, and business owners to organize and simplify their financial lives. She has a proven effective career track including previously held positions with Wells Fargo Advisors, Smith Barney and PNC Investments. She currently holds Series 7 & 66 Registrations, Life, Health & Accident Insurance Licenses and has received the CRPC® and CRPS® designations. Miri also serves as a Director on the MRCC Board. In addition to learning about the critical nature of a family meeting, attendees will gain knowledge regarding family organization and the roles everyone will play, important documents families should have, and survivorship – what to do when something happens.
Price for Members and Non Members $10 pp The MRCC is working diligently each day to keep members informed of ways to help their businesses during this pandemic, as well as their normal job of driving the machine that keeps WIBI running. It is a not for profit organization and in the absence of in-person events that generate operating revenue, this $10 pp fee is our way of supporting the MRCC.
All are welcome so please bring a friend. We hope to "see" you there! Also note if you are a nonmember, attending a virtual meeting will not count toward your two allowed meetings before membership.

WOMEN OWNED BUSINESS CERTIFICATION PANEL - IS CERTIFICATION A RIGHT MOVE FOR YOU? Being certified as a women-owned business provides a direct line to corporate and government contracts. In addition, certification comes with access to business development opportunities, training and resources. It's a great opportunity to participate in the billions of dollars spent by large companies and governmental agencies on goods and services.
On October 14th we will hold a joint meeting featuring a panel of entrepreneurs discussing the potential benefits that certification as a women-owned business can bring, a well as the ins and outs of the certification process. Our panelists have all been through the process and will share their experience as certified women business owners, as well as tips for helping you excel. Time will be included for Q&A so bring your questions.

MENTORSHIP PANEL SERIES: Success and Challenges for Women in Business
Our next panel discussion, Good Credit and Financing My Future, is planned for some time in September, a date to be determined once the girls are back in school. We are excited and honored to be a part of helping these extraordinary young ladies’ earn badges as they grow, learn, and prepare to be future leaders!

Our August meetings were well attended with a full screen for both. The energy continues to be great, and the coffee dates are prevailing, proving yet again that the ladies of WIBI are dedicated professionals serious about excelling in their businesses! Special thanks to Beth Donalds, MBA, CPA, The Business Doctor, for sharing her expertise and advise on taking charge of your business and driving success in the fourth quarter of 2020 and into 2021. In conjunction with Beth's presentation we put a new twist to the "Let's Get Real" breakout session, and everyone was assigned an accountability partner to keep them focused and on track to achieving their goals!

Our regularly scheduled meetings are held on the second and third Wednesday's of every month unless special events change the schedule. See our FAQ's at the bottom of this page for more information.
Our meetings are held on the 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8:15 am-9:45 am. Plan on arriving before and staying after the meeting for schmooze time.
You may register for either meeting but not both in any given month.
All attendees must register…walk-ins are not permitted.
Each meeting will be limited to 25 people.
$10 registration fee includes a continental breakfast.
MRCC non-members may attend 2 meetings and then are required to join the MRCC.
We will have 1 sponsorship opportunity each meeting which is a benefit of MRCC membership. You will have 5 minutes to showcase your business at both meetings. The sponsorship fee is $75.
