MRCC NONPROFITS NEEDING
HELP DURING COVID-19 MRCC has many members who are nonprofit organizations that assist those in our community that are in need. As you can imagine, the COVID-19 crisis has raised the level of need among our neighbors. If you are able and would like to help, here is a list of the various organizations and the contact information for each.

5K Scholarship Run and 3K Walk
Community Partner: Ramapo College Scholarship Endowment The annual 5K Run and 3K Walk is an event enjoyed by MRCC members along with their families and the community at large. Fifty percent of the proceeds go toward funding scholarships to deserving students at Ramapo College. In 2019 the MRCC awarded $7500.00 to the endowment fund.

Annual Golf Outing and Humanitarian Dinner
Community Partner: The Valley Health System The MRCC annual golf outing awards the Humanitarian of the Year with a donation to the charity of his or her choice. Our 2019 Humanitarian of the Year, Audrey Meyers, President and CEO at Valley Hospital made The New Valley Hospital in Paramus her charity. From the proceeds the MRCC awarded a check for $12,200.00 toward this exciting new facility.

Taste of the Region
Community Partner: Table to Table The Taste of the Region event is a food, beverage and service expo where attendees can sample delicious tastings from local restaurants, wineries, breweries and more. Raffles are sold throughout the evening and one hundred percent of the proceeds goes to a chosen community partner. It’s always a huge success, and in 2019 the MRCC was able to donate $1530.00 to Table to Table. In addition, at the end of the evening all left over food is packaged up and goes to Table to Table also.

WIBI (Women in Business Initiative)
Community Partner: Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey WIBI wanted to find a community partner that they could share their time and talent with, and they are thrilled to be partnering with the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey for 2020! The first venture is going to be a speed networking session where these fabulous young ladies (8th to 12th graders) will have an opportunity to exchange business cards and ask questions of each WIBI member about their career - the challenges, lessons learned - and their mentors.

YPN (Young Professionals Network)
Community Partner: Eva’s Village YPN has raised thousand of dollars to help mrcc nonprofits. In 2019 they facilitated a community service project to collect food pantry and toiletry items to donate to Eva’s Village, an organization designed to break the cycle of poverty and addiction. The YPN was excited to be able to donate $1100 worth of products.
