Assisted Living/Retirement Communities: Esplanade at Chestnut Ridge
The Esplanade at Chestnut Ridge is an assisted living residence owned and operated by the Laufer and Scharf families, who have been caring for seniors for over fifty years. This lovely community in Chestnut Ridge, NY is conveniently located on the Rockland/Bergen County border with easy access to the Garden State Parkway and the New York State Thruway.
When the chores of daily living become too difficult to handle alone, The Esplanade at Chestnut Ridge is the perfect place for seniors to reside and maintain the level of independence they desire while receiving the care they need. The staff takes care of the daily chores: cooking, cleaning and laundry so the residents are able to take advantage of the full array of daily activities.
Each morning after breakfast in the dining room, residents may join one another in the adjacent parlor to take part in tai chi, zumba, bowling, golf, strength training, chair aerobics or one of our other daily exercise classes. Afterwards, a lively discussion group focusing on current events or a specific topic of the day is facilitated by our activities director. After lunch, residents can choose from a wide variety of programs such as arts and crafts, ceramics, music appreciation, bingo, scrabble, and group crossword puzzles. Our new bus takes residents shopping, on scenic drives, out to lunch, to run local errands and visit museums and parks. Afternoon snacks are served in the parlor daily during our social hour. In the evening after dinner, movies are shown on the big screen in our activity room which features surround sound.
The Esplanade at Chestnut Ridge provides excellent care to their residents 24 hours a day.
